English soccer phenom David Beckham recently discovered his mother comes from a Jewish family, which makes him a Jew.
The halfback for Real Madrid and the English National Team, who has a large cross tattooed on his chest, chose to mark the discovery by adding another tattoo to his forearm, this time of a famous verse from the Song of Songs: "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."
Beckham's wife, ex-Spice Girl Victoria Adams, was so taken by the gesture that she decided to tattoo the same Biblical verse on the nape of her neck.
A source close to the couple told the London-based Sun that of all his tattoos, Beckham considered the Hebrew verse to be the most romantic.
