The Prime Minister's Office finally decided that Eden Natan-Zada would be buried in the civilian section of the Rishon Lezion cemetary, ending days of bitter feuding over the burial of the soldier who killed four Israeli Arabs on a bus in Shfaram last week.
Rishon residents are organizing to petition the High Court in order to prevent the burial.
On the weekend, Natan-Zada's father, outraged that Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz had ruled out a military funeral for his son, vowed to "bury him in Mofaz' yard."
Mofaz had said that he had denied Natan-Zada a military burial because he was "unworthy of being buried next to the fallen soldiers of Israel's wars."
The funeral will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
