Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said Monday that the IDF is doing its best to locate nine soldiers who went AWOL and are still in possession of their weapons.
He made the announcement during a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, after saying that hundreds of soldiers have deserted the IDF, but only the nine still have their weapons.
Mofaz could not answer a question posed to him by MK Eliezer Sandberg (Shinui), who asked whether the nine had a similar profile to that of Eden Natan-Zada, the soldier who killed four Arab residents of Shfaram on Thursday.
