Samarian settlements closed ahead of schedule

The gateway to the Samarian settlements of Ganim and Kadim has been blocked off today, ahead of next week's scheduled date. The checkpoint that leads to the settlements has been declared closed military zones, permitting only residents to enter.

The effort was done to deter protest and complications from non-residents against the pullout. The two West Bank settlements are the first to be closed off. Two other Samarian settlements, Sa-nur and Homesh, are scheduled to be evacuated in the coming weeks as well.
