A letter signed by 85 families of Teneh Omarim, a settlement in southern Judea ("the West Bank"), to PM Ariel Sharon asked to leave under the state compensation law passed, adding they feel there is no future in the settlement because it is on the "Palestinian side" of the security fence, and they are therefore unable to sell their homes.

Sharon has insisted that there will be no second part to the Disengagement Plan. His vision is to keep main settlement blocs in Judea and Samaria, blocs which are not expected to include Teneh Omarim
