Eliran Golan, charged with planning to murder Arab citizens, including an Arab Knesset member, hung himself in his prison cell on Thursday in Kishon Detention Center. Guards found Golan, and called a doctor. He was sent to Haifa's Rambam Hospital in serious conditin.

Golan was judged sane and fit to stand trial two months ago. He was indicted of placing four bombs intended to hurt Arab residents of Haifa whom he had suspected of terrorist activity.
