During a "dry "tank exercise Tuesday, in which there was no live fire, a Merkava-4 tank flipped over, killing one soldier, and injuring three others. One is in moderate condition and two who were lightly injured, are being treated at Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem.

GOC Central Brigadier General Yair Naveh has organized a committee to investigate whether the cause of the accident was due to mechanical or human error, in which case it may have been caused by excessive speed.

Staff Sergeant Ran Hendifer, 22, of Tel Aviv, who was killed in the accident will be buried at 4 p.m. today, in Holon's military cemetery, Israel Radio and Haaretz reported.
