On Sunday, the fourth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States, three representatives from the monotheistic faiths held a memorial ceremony in Jerusalem sponsored by the World Union for Progressive Judaism.
According to a report in The Jerusalem Post, the head of the Quaderite Peace Fraternity, Muslim Sheikh Abdel el-Salam Manasara said, "Islam values peace, love and mutual existence with other religions. Those who perpetrate terrorist attacks in the name of Islam distort the message of the Koran." This year, special mention will be made to commemorate the London and Sharm el-Sheikh attacks. The ceremony has taken place every year since 2001.
