A Qassam rocket fired at Sderot Monday morning from northern Gaza by Arab terrorists, hit an open field. No injuries or damages have been reported. The attack was made just half an hour after Israel formally closed the gates on the Gaza - Israel border, ending 38 years of Israeli military presence in the area.
Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz has said that any attacks made against Israel after the Gaza pullout will be handled with unprecedented harshness. Thus far, Israel has not reacted to the attack and government officials have not given any comments.
