On Tuesday, the Knesset will convene for a special debate about the burning of the abandoned Gaza synagogues by the Palestinians upon the withdrawal of Israeli troops Monday, and the effect this will have on the Jewish communities and synagogues the around World. The fires themselves caused minimal to medium damage to the fortress like stone structures of the synagogues, which Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has promised will be destroyed totally in the coming days.
