With the end of Israeli control over Gaza, has come the handover of all resident Gaza prisoners. On Tuesday, three of the five Gaza Strip residents who were held by Israel in administrative detention were released in accordance with Article 77 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. The remaining two, Riyadh Ayad, and his cousin Hasan Ayad ? both of whom were declared "illegal combatants" by GOC Southern Command Dan Harel on Monday so they are being held in Israeli prison not to be released.
