Thursday morning, Israeli Border Police and IDF forces caught 20 Palestinian Gaza Strip residents attempting to infiltrate into Israel, after having crossed into Egypt from the Gaza border.

As a result of the collapse in order at the Egypt-Gaza border, which has allowed thousands of Palestinians to enter Sinai and Egyptians to enter Gaza, Israel is concerned about the infiltration of Al-Qaida operatives into Gaza. Prior to the border incident, Egyptian forces have had a hard time eliminating Al-Qaida cells in Sinai.
