Israel received an important victory against Spain in the Euro Championship Sunday evening, pushing the Israeli team to the next stage. Now, Israel need only conquer the Latvian team to win a place in the quarterfinals.
Israel beat Spain with an impressive 85:77 score, dominating the game after an initial slow start, with Spain failing to find their offensive "touch."
The captain of the team, Tal Burstein, took charge of the game and became the main scorer and passer. The third quarter was close, with Israel ahead by a close margin of 65:60, but Israel jumped way back into the lead by the start of the fourth with 77:64.
