On Sunday, the Palestinian Authority confessed that Palestinian children were being used as pawns by drug dealers to traffic illegal substances between Egypt in Gaza, exploiting the chaos ignited by the sudden opening of the border.
According to the Interior Ministry of the Palestinian Authority, forces deployed within the last forty-eight hours have arrested several children carrying drugs and alcohol in their schoolbags. "The children were unaware of what they were carrying, but they gave the security forces important details about those responsible," said sources to The Jerusalem Post.
In the meantime, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas announced that the "chaos had ended" after the installation of a substantial number of Palestinian forces on the border.
