An-Najah University in Nablus published a survey on Monday showing the results of polled Palestinians on about the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. 58% of those polled believe the disengagement from Gaza was a direct effect of the armed struggle, with only 22 percent saying it was an Israeli unilateral decision and a mere 15 percent think it was the effect of Palestinian diplomatic efforts.
In the published study, 53 percent of Palestinians think the Palestinian Authority should not gather weapons from the various militant factions, while 42.5 percent say that the PA must disarm them.
