Military police confiscated marijuana and hashish on an important air force base and in the base's hospital Thursday, after receiving intelligence from the Air Force Monitoring Unit about drug use in the Israeli Air Force. Despite major efforts on behalf of the IDF to ban drugs in the army, efforts seemed to have failed as several soldiers were arrested on charges of drug use in the army. "A number of soldiers who were questioned admitted that they used drugs during their military service. The Military Police? is using intelligence and advanced technology in its investigation." Said an IDF office spokesperson to Ynet.
