On an army base southwest of the town of Jenin in northern Samaria, soldiers shot a 19-year-old Palestinian to death. The IDF says the incident occurred when the Palestinian was seen attempting to infiltrate the base with a group of others, and was given warnings by soldiers. He proceeded to ignore warnings and infiltrated the base, and was then killed. The base was to be evacuated by the end of Thursday by IDF troops, and the Palestinian Authority was issued a warning by the army not to allow anyone near the base before it's completely evacuated. Palestinian sources said in response to the incident that the youth was an innocent passerby.
