IDF, Police forces on "highest alert" for holidays

As of Monday, the police and IDF are on high alert, with bigger forces focusing efforts on deterring attacks in Jerusalem and seam line communities in Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank, that are not blocked off by the security barrier. Insp.-Gen. Moshe Karadi said there were "general and constant" threats of terror attacks, and in the past weekend alone, Border Police were able to catch 1,350 Palestinians attempting to infiltrate Israel, mostly in the Jerusalem area.
