On Sunday, hundreds of vacationers in Sinai came back to Israel after the serious terror warnings by the government were issued over the weekend. "Some 40,000 Israelis were supposed to go [to Sinai] over the holidays. Now, we estimate that some 20,000 Israelis will vacation in Sinai," said Yossi Patel, director general of the Association of Travel Agents, to Haaretz. Most returning families were skeptical of threats, and felt that if there was serious danger, it is irresponsible of the government not to close the border to Sinai.
