Secular Jews pray in community centers, not shuls on Yom Kippur

The "Judaism for Everyone" program got press when MK Avraham Poraz criticized the program for promoting Jews to pray in Community Centers, and not synagogues. The program organizes "prayer gatherings" for secular Jews in Israel in over 250 community centers throughout the country. Their website explains that for various reasons, new immigrants and veteran Israelis, secular and religious, are invited to attend these gatherings to have a community on Yom Kippur.
