The international organization that fights corruption, Transparency International, published a list of 159 countries ranking their corruption on a score of 1 to 10, 10 being the least corrupt. Israel received a score of 6.3, making it number 28th on the list with Iceland at number one, being the least corrupt. The Palestinian Authority was put in the 107th place, beating Russia in the 126th place. A chairman for the company said that corruption in politicians and the government is bad for the people, "The corruption keeps people in poverty," he said.
