There is a noticeable increase in the amount of British Jews considering making Aliyah and buying property in Israel, a community leader said. He attributes this increase to a rise in anti-Semitism in Britain. The Jewish Agency has recorded an 11 percent increase in Aliyah since last year. The fear of a new wave of anti-Semitism in Britain was highlighted in a Rosh Hashanah address by Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks: "There have been times [recently], the first in my memory, when it has been uncomfortable to be a Jew in Britain."
