Chipmaking giant Intel Corp. said Thursday it would build a new, $3.5 billion plant in southern Israel alongside an existing one there.
Israel wooed the company with a $525 million grant.
The new factory will produce microprocessors, and is expected to be operational in the second half of 2008, the company said in a release.
