Yigal Amir asked a court for permission Tuesday to have children with the woman he claims he married through artificial insemination, a Prisons Authority spokesman said.
Yigal Amir, who is serving a life sentence for killing Rabin in 1995, said he was married by proxy on the telephone to Larissa Trimbobler, a divorced mother of four.
However, the Prisons Authority, the courts and the Israeli Interior Ministry have refused to recognize the marriage, denying Amir and Trimbobler conjugal rights.
A few weeks ago, the Prisons Authority rejected Amir's request to be allowed to use artificial insemination to get Trimbobler pregnant, Prisons Authority spokesman Ofer Lefler said. In response, Amir appealed to the court Tuesday.
"Since the Interior Ministry has not recognized his marriage we reject any requests he has regarding this woman," Lefler said. |
