Israeli striker Yaniv Katan moved on Tuesday from Maccabi Haifa to West Ham in a $174,000 transfer.

The 24-year-old signed a four-year contract and will team up with countryman Yosso Benayoun. He could make his debut Saturday in the FA Cup at Norwich.

"All my life I have dreamed of playing in England and this is a very happy day for me," Katan said. "I hope to be very successful with West Ham United and I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates."
