George Jonas, author of Vengeance, the work on which the new movie Munich is at least partially based, disavows the film: "My book was all about avenging evil. Then the King of Hollywood got hold of it."
"I haven't even read the screenplay. But I think I have some idea of what I am about to see -- and not just because I remember the original historic event or because I wrote the book. It's because I have an inkling of Spielberg's take on human affairs.
'A win-win situation,' says my colleague encouragingly. 'If you like the film, fine. If you don't, you can cry all the way to the bank.'
I wish. But things are rarely that simple."
