Police evacuated on Sunday worshippers from the Western Wall holy site in Jerusalem's Old City after finding a susicious object in the area, police said.

A box with wires sticking out of it was found in the men's worshipping section but police checking it found it was not a bomb, police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said.

The Western Wall is the last remaining structure of the Second Jewish Temple and the holiest site for Jews. The temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.
