Hardline lawmaker Naomi Blumenthal was convicted Monday of bribing officials from her Likud Party who helped elect her in party primaries.
A Tel Aviv court convicted Blumenthal along with Likud activist Michael Elnekaveh for paying for the rooms of 12 Likud Central Committee members on the eve of the party primaries.
The two were also convicted of obstruction of justice for coordinating their versions of the accounts they gave detectives. The pair were not yet sentenced. |
