Israeli stabbed in Jerusalem industrial zone

Published: March 2, 2006

An Israeli was stabbed in his neck and seriously injured Thursday at an industrial zone in northern Jerusalem, Israeli police and rescue said.

The perpetrator of the attack was apparently a Palestinian who fled the scene, police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The motivation for the attack was not immediately clear, Ben-Ruby said.

The stabbing came the day after one Israeli was killed and another injured in two shooting attacks in the West Bank.
