Two young Israelis were killed and a third critically wounded in an explosion Tuesday when they handled an unexploded shell on a military firing range in southern Israel's Negev desert, Israeli rescue services and the army said.
Israeli media reports said the victims were teenagers from Israel's Bedouin Arab minority.
In an unrelated incident earlier Tuesday, an Israeli Bedouin shepherd and his son were killed close to Israel's border with the Gaza Strip in a blast the military believed was caused when they picked up an unexploded shell, probably fired earlier by Palestinians from inside Gaza. |
