Palestinian militants fired a homemade rocket into southern Israel on Saturday, hitting a house in the southern town of Sderot and lightly wounding one person, rescuers said.

Sderot, located near Israel's border with the Gaza Strip, is a frequent target of rocket attacks.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
