Care for some potassium nitrate with your tea?

Palestinians tried to import enough to throw a huge party, exploiting the branding of the European Union in an attempt to smuggle the banned explosives ingredient, disguised as sugar sacks, past an Israeli checkpoint so that their cohorts in the Gaza Strip could create bombs and rocket fuel.

Just released for publication: In a joint IDF and ISA operation several weeks ago, a truck was caught at a crossing points in Judea and Samaria carrying approximately 6.5 tons of Potassium Nitrate, disguised in sugar bags marked as being part of the humanitarian aid provided by the European Union. They were intended for use by terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

Potassium Nitrate is a banned in Gaza, Judea and Samaria due to its use by terrorists for the manufacturing of explosives and Qassam rockets.

On Sunday, an EU statement criticized "the abuse of humanitarian aid." But there was no indication that this latest incident would inhibit in any way the fulfillment of pledges of more than $7.4 billion to the Palestinian Authority made in the recent Paris conference.
