An Israeli girl, 14, was critically wounded and three others lightly wounded by a Kassam rocket which landed in the western Negev town of Sderot Saturday night.
The teen was hit in the head when the rocket landed in one of the town's main streets. An eyewitness said he saw her lying in the street, her head covered with blood.
Magen David Adom ambulances evacuated the wounded to Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon. The girl was pronounced dead enroute to the hospital, paramedics reported, according to the Jerusalem Post. Other Israeli media reported that she was still alive.
Houses were also damaged, Israel Radio reported.
Enraged residents of Sderot tooks to the streets after the attack. The town has been a frequent target of Arab attacks from across the Gaza border. Despite frequent IDF actions, Kassam rockets have continued to fall.
