On November 21, 2007, Jonathan Pollard -- imprisoned for providing Israel with essential security information which America was obligated to provide to Israel but had refused to do so -- enters his 23rd year in prison. This unending travesty of justice is highlighted by the fact that the average time served for an American citizen spying for an ally is only two years.
In contrast, the lives of Jewish men, women and children are currently being jeopardized by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's insane act of releasing hundreds of Arab prisoners who have participated in acts of terror. Assuming that the statistics of past prisoner releases hold true, over three-quarters of these terrorists will resume their violence against Israelis. Who, then, is responsible for the coming bloodshed?
Ehud Olmert, the least trusted Prime Minister in the history of Israel, wants to reach an agreement at the upcoming Annapolis summit to give away the Land of Israel to our enemies at any cost in order to divert attention from the three criminal investigations currently open against him.
Chaim Ramon, a co-conspirator of Oslo, was recently found guilty of sexual misconduct, and yet was appointed by Olmert to the position of Deputy Prime Minister. He wishes to divide Jerusalem.
Shimon Peres, chief architect of Oslo, which has led to thousands of Jews murdered and maimed, sits in the Israeli President's office making certain that Pollard, the Israeli agent for whom he ultimately responsible for running, rots in prison.
The facts would clearly suggest that the correct exchange for the Jewish People would be to take Jonathan Pollard out of prison in place of Ehud Olmert, Chaim Ramon, and Shimon Peres.
