A terrorist is a terrorist
By Gary Fitleberg   June 5, 2005

Recently, President Bush not only invited Mahmoud Abbas, more affectionately known as Abu Mazen, to the White House but has also pledged $50 million U.S. taxpayer dollars in support of terrorism. This sends a major mixed message regarding the Middle East and the American-led international war on terrorism. In other words, or in Bush's own words, isn't "a terrorist is a terrorist"?

Bush has made a misguided and unfortunate mistake in Middle East policy by showing support for Abbas (or Arafat in an altered suit) who was one of the chief architects of mass murder and mayhem as Arafat's partner in crime for some forty years of the terrorist Palestine Liberation Organization (now called the Palestinian Authority). In fact, it is the first meeting in the White House with a representative of this terrorist organization since 2000.

Hailing Abbas' supposed reform efforts, President Bush is rewarding and sponsoring terrorism, either directly or indirectly, in clear contradiction to his own policy on terror.

Once Israel is forced to flee from the disputed territories of Gaza, Judea & Samaria (which belong to it biblically, historically, legally, morally, and rightfully) Bush proposes to reward and sponsor the so-called "moderate" mass murder and terrorist PA/PLO organization, thereby setting the standard of success for all terrorist organizations to extract political concessions through a bloody campaign of mass murder and mayhem.

All Bush needs to do is read his Bible to make an accurate, honest, and informed decision as to who truly belongs in this land and who are the true "settlers" or "squatters" stealing the land from its rightful owners. Instead, he is showing how terrorism can really work.

The "goodwill gesture" towards the terrorists and their terrorism is considered to be a sign of confidence, despite its proven track record of corruption and deception. Money not well spent.

None of the billions of dollars of the "hhumanitarian aid" money went for clothing, education (unless we are referring to the PA/PLO state sponsored brainwashing campaign through its lies, myths and propaganda and media, public institutions, and religious instititutions), food or shelter for the Palestinian people, but for bombs and human weapons.

President Bush told Abbas, You have made a new start on a difficult journey requiring leadership each day. And we will take that journey together. Warm words without wisdom.

Let's take an honest look at the facts of Abbas' alleged reform.

Mahmoud Abbas has certainly developed a novel way of disarming terrorists, his very first obligation under the so-called Road Map to Middle East peace. Abbas is now consolidating the existing "security forces" (actually subsidiaries of terrorism such as Force 17 and Tanzim) with 350 terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

The move, said PA/PLO Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abu al-Naja, is designed to protect them against Israeli assassination attempts. They are entitled to join security forces because of their involvement in "the resistance".

An official PA/PLO information website directly affiliated with President Mahmoud Abbas has published on its Arabic language section a copy of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a classic anti-Semitic forgery, while the English section does not contain the work, according to the World Net Daily.

Al-Nakba.com, the official Internet website of the Arab Palestinian State Information Service, SIS, published an Arabic translation to the "Protocols," a notorious forgery authorized by the anti-Semitic Czarist police in early 20th-Century Russia that purports to be minutes of a meeting of top Jewish leaders plotting world domination.

The Arabic version of the Al-Nakba site contains the full work, which was translated by a Lebanese Druze terrorist and taken directly from the website of the hard-line Islamic Da'wa Party in Iraq, according to an analysis provided to WND by Israel's Center for Special Studies.

The SIS was founded in 1996 by an executive decree of Yasser Arafat, then Chairman of the PA/PLO. The institution is responsible for "organizing and developing information and media activities in the Palestinian territories."

Al-Nakba literally means "the catastrophe." The official site serves as a propaganda device regarding the situation surrounding Arab Palestinian refugees who claim to have been displaced as a result of Israel's founding, says the Center for Special Studies. The site has been updated several times since Abbas took office in January.

"The Al-Nakba Web Page contains 'The Protocols' [so that] the Palestinian and Arab reader may infer that the foundation of the state of Israel and the emergence of the problem of Palestinian refugees are nothing but a part of the implementation of the so-called 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion,'" reports the Center.

But the English language section of the site does not mention the "Protocols." It mostly contains information about displaced Arab Palestinians and copies of official Israeli texts marking the establishment of the Jewish state. The Center reports: "The Arabic version, catering to Arab and Palestinian public, has a higher dosage of inciting content while the English version, addressing non-Arab target audiences, is more moderate." Other Arab states recently have published their own version of the "Protocols."

The PA/PLO has not only not tried to stop terrorism, they continue to actively promote it whenever and wherever possible. This sometimes means the terrorists, both the "moderate" PA/PLO terrorist organization and the more evil extremist, fanatical, fundamentalist Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, work together hand-in-hand coordinating the destruction of Israel, despite the fictious "good cop vs. bad cop" political game for the media and public consumption.

The PA/PLO has never removed the provision for Israel's annihilation from its charter. One need not take my word for it. Go to: www.fateh.org and you will see for yourself with your own eyes the logo of this fictious "moderate" peace partner with Israel, one emblazoned with AK-47 assault weapons and hand grenades.

President Bush called Abbas' election last January a "historic" step toward a Palestinian state, adding, "The United States stands ready to help the Palestinian people realize their aspirations."

Haven't we all heard and seen enough? Shouldn't we be honest when we state, "A terrorist is a terrorist" and act accordingly?

I distinctly recall President George W. Bush stating: "A terrorist is a terrorist." Bush included all those who harbor or sponsor terrorism as well.

Well, there is no more successful terrorist organization than the PA/PLO. The terrorists appear to be getting away, both figuratively and literally, with murder. And getting cash rewards for state sponsored terrorism.

What message does this send to the Medieval Middle East; a place comprised of 22 Arab/Islamist corrupt dictatorships, human rights violators, ruthless repressive regimes, state sponsors of terrorism, and tyrannies? Bush's mixed message is dangerous, one that encourages the future use of terrorism against Western civilization.

How about an honest foreign policy for a change? One that rewards and supports the victims of terrorism rather than the perpetrators.
