When Ehud Olmert says, "We know how to respond;" what on God's earth is he talking about? The one area where Israel has truly failed is in its response to terrorism.
America's remarkable 65 year record for doing good through forcefully fighting evil includes invading horrible countries, destroying enemy cities, dropping nuclear weapons, killing evil leaders, placing their associated culprits on trial and even capital punishment for the guilty.
Israel however, blows up a car with 3 individuals using helicopter gun ships, destroys a bomb factory in the middle of the night when the bomb makers are home sleeping, arrests the daddy of a suicide murderer, demolishes the empty home of the terrorist or sends 20 IDF soldiers into a town as an incursion to carefully handcuff and arrest a gang of murderous thugs. Well no wonder the suicide bombers just keep on coming.
So it will be more of the same as Sharon, Netanyahu, Peres, Barak, Rabin, et. al. Has the terrorism been reduced? Of course, but don't tell that to the 9 families who lost loved ones or the 70 wounded, some without limbs.
As we all know, the primary purpose of government is to protect its citizens. "All the rest is commentary," as a well known rabbi once commented. So the big shot war heroes have pretty much failed the people of Israel.
Let 4/17/06--Tel Aviv be the 9/11 of the Jewish state. Unless Israel stops playing geopolitics and does the right thing, it will almost certainly cease to exist within 20 years.
1) Hamas Leadership--As soon as Israeli intelligence determines that all Hamas leaders and elected officials have safely returned to their homes in Gaza and The West Bank from their worldwide terrorist fundraising trip, a complete attack a la Berlin and Dresden must be launched to kill every member of the Hamas Nazi Party.
While careful planning must be used to insure the fewest number of innocent civilian casualties, it should not affect the ultimate success of the mission. There were no innocent civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Innocent civilians only exist in liberal newspapers 60 years after the fact or in Arab/Muslim anti-Western propaganda today.
2) Hamas Infrastructure--Every government building and facility used by the Hamas Nazi Party should be reduced to rubble.
3) New Old Leadership--No harm should come to Mahmoud Abbas or members of his party, if possible.
4) Terrorist Breeding Grounds--Announce that Samer Hammed will be the last terrorist from Jenin, because Jenin and everything north of it will now be annexed by Israel and be renamed the city of Jonathan--Yonaton, in honor of Yonatan Netanyahu. Numerous synagogues and mikvahs (Jewish ritual baths) will be erected within 3 months.
5) Outside Support--Warn Qatar and Iran that their nations and their oil wells are in the Zionist Jewish crosshairs for supporting the Hamas Nazi terrorists. China, Japan and Germany, three of Iran's largest oil customers should love their new $20 a barrel oil, a gift from Israel with every purchase of Jaffa oranges. Israel should end its press release with the following statement; "...if you think we are kidding boys, there is definitely a tongue depressor in your future," (and they must mean it).
If the above seems harsh, check the Hamas website for the party/organization's clear goals; "to destroy Israel, to drink the blood of the Jews until they leave Muslim countries, to return to the 'homeland' through blood, to continue fighting until not one inch of our holy land is in the hands of Jews, to fly the Palestinian flag on the minarets of Jerusalem, the walls of Acre and the quarters of Haifa...." And two thirds of Palestinians voted for these ideas. A Palestinian State living in peace with Israel ... please, that is a big, bad joke.
Let civilized nations know that great evils seem to begin with an attempt to destroy the Jews, but never seem to end with just the Jews, as the world found out with Hitler, Saddam, Hamas and now its partner in crime, Iran.
The preoccupation with Jews and eliminating Israel from the planet has brought chaos, destruction and backwardness to the entire Arab and Muslim world. They are indeed correct about one thing. Israel has destroyed their world, their veltunshaft, not through "occupation"--but through "preoccupation."
